Tradition and craftsmanship with passion. At Fluonalp, every day up to 2000 litres of milk is turned into Sbrinz, alp cheese, Ziger cheese and Ankä (alpine butter). The milk comes from the some 140 cows that summer on the surrounding alps, which include Brosmatt, Mittlist- and Oberst Fluonalp, Rieben and Schwantelen. Four alpine farmers care for the livestock and ensure that the milk processed is always of the highest quality. Fresh alpine herbs give the alp cheese its typical aroma, which also makes alp Sbrinz unique.
